I do not own a smart phone and never plan to have one. I can see the appeal in using one and owning one. These attributes also seems to be the downfall. Everyone I know that has a smart phone is so wrapped up in it that they do not interact with those around them - especially their children. I find that our society has become so obsessed with the newest, most expensive items and is living a more robotic life. I feel sorry for those who feel that they have to keep up with their friends and outdo others by having the newest thing.

I choose to do things more conservatively (playing board games, cooking at home, enjoying time with family rather than using electronics) in order to see my children grow. I hope they appreciate that when they grow up. That I choose THEM over a phone. Is there anyone else out there that believes this, too?
